Football Expert Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game winning streak was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global break, however can the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.

For week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's latest album, the new release, is available on Friday.

Football and Family Life

Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a serious return as a player.

"{I recently played in a benefit match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their weekend football team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their attack is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, however. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's only away victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was still that team's manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can West Ham extending their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four matches.

My son advised me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the road this season, and Brighton are consistently strong at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six matches.

Fulham have have lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not witnessed anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to back the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the close of last month.

But I am not choose that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the only team they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but Fulham have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
