Former Doctor Faces Sexual Assault Allegations Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors have announced that a former doctor now faces charges for performing sexual assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One senior prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the 45 charges he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
