Passionate supporters of the pop star are urging that a man who leaped a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A viral footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside media personnel and lunging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being taken in", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram account features recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last winter.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," commented an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Express Concern Over the Star's Well-being

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further message on Instagram.

A number of supporters also faulted guards at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while some demanded online networks to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Many of Singapore supporters had lined up to meet the performers of Wicked

Many of fans had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore venue, including several who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The film, to be launched on November 21, is the sequel of a two-film adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising relationship between two distinct sorceresses.

The show itself is a spin-off of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a light pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of the previous year in the UK, and received a dozen Oscar nominations, securing two for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
