Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in the state of California aged 55.
His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.
The celebrated industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a motorway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his family, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
